1. What We're Eating This Week:
Sunday- leftovers (we were out of town!!)
Monday- chicken quesidillas and mexican rice
Tuesday- hamburgers and sweet potato fries
Wednesday- onion soup chicken with rice pilaf and green beans
Thursday- crockpot potato soup
Friday- turkey and gruyere paninis with fritos
*I just don't take many pictures of my food. I'm usually to busy eating it (and referree-ing my kids!) rather than makingit look pretty on a plate... #sorrynotsorry
2. What I'm Reminiscing About:
Our fun-filled weekend in Asheville. It wasn't long enough and now David and I are convinced we need a mountain house so we can go more often!
3. What I'm Loving:
My nail color! I pampered myself Friday while Grammy and Grandmom watched the babies. I usually get a light/neutral color, but I stepped out of my comfort zone and got a deep, deep purple and I love it.
4. What We've Been Up To:
David and I were out of town this weekend for a wedding and the babies were spending quality time with grandparents and great-grandparents! It was a win-win for everyone. ;)
5. What I'm Dreading:
I have a paper for school due at the end of November. While a good portion of it has been written, I hate sitting down and making sure everything is in APA format, double-triple checking to make sure everything is spelled correctly, is grammatically correct, and sounds right. And it's the first paper I'll have written with two kids running around so.....yeah.
6. What I'm Working On:
The paper from #5, haha! I procrastinate on a lot of things, but I don't think leaving a graduate school paper until the last minute would be the wisest decision I've ever made.
7. What I'm Excited About:
It's almost time for holiday stuff!! I'm really excited to get our family pictures back and choose one for our christmas card this year. This is our card from last year:
8. What I'm Watching/Reading:
Just found out The Holiday is going off Netflix November 1st so I'll be watching that at some point this week. And I'm still trying to make it through A Prayer for Owen Meany. It's a good book, I just don't have much time to sit down and read.
9. What I'm Listening To:
I'm really missing country Taylor Swift, so I've had her country cd's playing in my car recently. Also, not ashamed to say Straight No Chaser's Christmas cd has also been playing. ;)
10. What I'm Wearing:
BOOTS! SCARVES! VESTS! Every few days or so, we get a nice little burst of cold air that allows me to break out the winter wear! And I L-O-V-E it! And this is the dress I settled on for the wedding. It's beautiful, feels great on, and I'll probably be wearing this again at Christmas time!
11. What I'm Doing This Weekend:
Schoolwork. And it's also the first weekend we haven't had something planned in ages, so I'm going to try to get hubby on board with getting some painting done in Griffin's room and the upstairs hallway! It's time to turn our house into a home!
12. What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month:
Oh, November, I just love you! You bring in the holiday season- Thanksgiving, Christmas trees, Santa...and the Southern Christmas Show! My mom, aunt, and I always go to opening night of the Southern Christmas Show (people sell all of their fun crafts- great for gift giving!) and now my cousin goes with us! It is such a fun time spent with some of my favorite ladies and I look forward to it every year! (This picture is from 2009...yikes!)
13. What Else is New:
I always love when my husband uploads his phone to my computer. I get tons of pictures I never even knew existed! :)
Bonus Question: What is your favorite Halloween memory/photo/tradition?
Halloween isn't a huge deal to me. I mean, I dressed up and got candy when I was younger, but Halloween parties aren't a "thing" for me! But my favorite picture is probably this one:
Hadley's 2 week check-up was on Halloween and I had her dressed like a little pumpkin. (Sort of!) It was my first Halloween with a baby, so it was pretty special! But everyone wants to see the embarrassing photos! So, when I was growing up I had 2 best friends and we pretty much always dressed like Sandy from Grease. I have no idea what our fascination was, but we had our poodle skirts and everything! It was fun, for sure!
Whew, I always feel like I've run a race when I'm finished writing one of these! I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else wrote!
Can't wait to see your Christmas card this year - last year was so cute! Good luck with your paper - that definitely doesn't sound fun but will be great when it's done and turned in!
